"Managed website" gets used loosely. Sometimes it means hosting with a support email. Sometimes it means a page builder and a help centre. Here's what we believe it should mean.
1. Someone builds it properly
A managed website starts with a site designed around your business — your services, your customers and the way people actually find you. Not a template with your logo dropped in.
2. Hosting is handled
Servers, domain configuration, security certificates, backups and performance are all set up and looked after. You shouldn't have to know where your website lives.
3. Changes are part of the service
This is the part most offers leave out. New team members, updated prices, holiday hours, a new service page — these should be included, requested in plain language and handled for you.
4. Content keeps moving
Fresh articles, updated service pages and clear, current information help customers trust you and help search engines find you.
5. It improves over time
A well-managed site should be better a year after launch than on launch day: faster, clearer and more useful.
If your current website only checks one or two of these boxes, it isn't really being managed. It's just being hosted.
